Hiring Manager,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in applying
to for a six-month internship from June 2015 to December 2015 in Project Management, Finance or Accounting, which are my three main fields of study.
I am a French student, currently completing a Master 1
degree in International Business at PSB – Paris School of Business (Ex-ESG
Management School), one of the foremost business schools in France. I have
graduated in June 2014 a Bachelor degree in Finance at Lincoln University, New
Zealand. I will continue my education by pursuing another Bachelor degree in
International Business at Macquarie University from January 2015 to June 2015.
This framework has given me the opportunity to develop my language skills and
has given me the willingness to work abroad. I am now looking for a work experience
in a multicultural firm.
While pursuing my degree, I have worked in different
business sectors: bank and insurance, accounting, sales and marketing. My
numerous internships and jobs have given me the opportunity to improve my
skills.
Moreover, I have been engaged for five years in
charity and humanitarian projects. I was the leader of the “Nosy Komba” project
for two years, which is a humanitarian association acting for the development
of education in Madagascar in collaboration with OLPC France (“One Laptop Per
Child”, American based organization) and the Italian Red Cross. I was in charge
of finding new partners and donors, raising funds, as well as leading a
30-members team. In addition, my twelve years of scouting experience with three
years as a scout leader (at the treasurer’s post and secretary’s post) taught
me basic values such as community life, sharing, and self-achievement while
completing managerial tasks.
My traveling and humanitarian experiences worldwide
fostered my curiosity and helped open my mind. The discovery of new cultures
and insight into different ways of life and work are things I find increasingly
fascinating. I already had the opportunity to work abroad, and I hope to have
the chance to do my internship with you in June.
